Cozido (with fish)

What food would you say is your specialty?

Great… This boiled specialty is healthy, tasty and easy to prepare. What you need:

  • Potatoes / Sweet works too.
  • Cabbage.
  • Onions.
  • Fish.
  • Carrots.
  • Eggs.
  • Broccoli.
  • Pepper. (Preferably black, ground)
  • Salt.
  • Vinegar. (Preferably apple)
  • Olive oil.
  • Olives.
  • A big pot and small pot.
  • And a burning stove of some kind.

Grab the big pot. Throw in semi-chopped cabbage head, chopped potatoes, semi-chopped onions, chopped carrots, broccoli and salt. Fill with water and place on the burning stove of some kind.

Grab the small pot. Add water first. Throw in portioned fish, and the eggs. Then place on the burning stove of some kind.

Boil it all till cooked. Drain the water and serve. Halve the peeled eggs, throw some olives over your plate, vinegar the whole dish, olive oil the dish too, bon appetite.

Now, traditionally many will prepare a beans stew to accompany the main plate. Sprinkled with ground cassava, this plate is certain to fill you before you finish your meal.
